this is my latest sock toy: A T-rex called Eponine, for my mum (who loves Les Miserables).
Climbing the barricades:

Singing On My Own:

Eponine's hat is made from felt, broken down with eyebrow make up which is then fixed with spray fixant stuff (stolen from the costume room at work)

I don't have a full body shot of Eppie, but this is Roxie, my original T-Rex
(Mum saw photos and wanted Roxie, but she was already promised to someone so I made Eppie instead) so you can see the legs and tail:

Roxie and Eppie have very different head shapes and eye placement - Roxie looks a bit cuter & cuddlier, but for Eppie to be able to wear a hat I had to give her more of a forehead - and I actually like how she came out with a more lizard-lake snout shape because of the changes I made

I was pleased with how my dinos came out - I wanted to nice girlie ones with bows and big eyes, because not all the kick-ass dinos were boys  Grin

random observation; T-rexes have such tiny little useless arms! My friend Alan (who Roxie was for) calls them thalidomide-rexes

Slightly gratuitous pic of Roxie proving she ain't a dumb as she looks - she's beating Alan at Bananagrams:

This is the first completed project I've posted to craftster - I hope it's ok Smiley

They are both so adorable. I know lots of little (and not so little) kids who would love one. Great job! What a great way to start of your posting.

Ahhh! I want a sock Dino! Well it would probably live with my nephew, because he loves dinosaurs! Nice work, I wouldn't have thought to make a Dino out of a sock!
