My first time starting a Fiber Friday!

So I went 2 months without spinning anything but yesterday I really got back into it and dyed and spun up 4 skeins.

My very favorite yarn- Merino and bamboo. 175 yards of the softest squishiest prettiest yarn I've spun yet. I don't know that the picture does it justice.

Mint Merino. 200 yards of Merino singles. This is the same as 1 of the ply's in the previous yarn.

Handpainted Merino 2-ply. 175 yards This was really really hard to get a good picture of. It's more of a teal/blue/mint color than it wants to show on camera.

Domestic Gray/Fawn and Bamboo. I have no idea what sort of wool the gray/brown is but it's super scratchy. I love the contrast of dark scratchy wool and silky soft bamboo. 100 yards.

I LOVE the mint merino singles! Don't like spinning merino myself, but I sure love seeing what other people do with it.

nittydread- Those singles are gorgeous. I love the colors. Are you plying them all together?

Antsy- I am loving all the blue/green shades. I am especially find on the mint merino singles. They looks so soft and squishy Smiley

These bad boys are still sitting on the bobbins. I just finished spinning them this (Thursday) morning. I'm not sure of the yardage. Its about 6 oz of fiber on two jam packed jumbo bobbins. The fiber is from a Harry Potter SAL from Bohoknitterchic. This colorway is called "Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes". It came in the form of one 4 oz batt and a 2 oz bag of multi colored/multi breed picked locks. I had lots of fun spinning it Smiley

Zombie_Queen: Thank you! Yes, I'm plying them all together in a big ol' combo. My favourite way of spinning, triple the excitement!

Oh wow, that's one happy yarn you spun. Cheesy

Lovely colourful yarns! Zombie-Queen, the structure of your yarn is beautiful!

I haven't anything finished to show (well, some yarns are drying in the bathroom, but that doens't look very pretty yet...dripping and weights hanging on them  Wink) but this is what I've been doing yesterday night. I'm planning to dye with plants and use it for the sheep to shawl challenge:

Beautiful, rustic yarn! I wish I could prep fleece myself, but my SO is sadly allergic and can only tolerate me spinning pre-washed and preferrably dyed wool.

Both of these yarns are spun from wool I got from Ptarmic_wumpus. I'm sure they will felt very easily.

I carded the blue and red together and spun woolen. I was wanting to leave it as a single but it really wasn't thick enough so I plied it with itself. Total ~126 yards

These were both spun right off the roving, 1 ply green, 1 ply purple. I've been loving this color combo lately, though I think it would work better if the green were lighter.

both are beautiful .... but I like the bottom - it reminds me of heather - dark leaves and purple flowers.
