So, I had seen a few cute little things that people had embroidered on Moleskines and I wanted to try for myself. It was a lot harder to work with than my usual cloth options, but I did figure out that if I used a safety pin to poke the holes beforehand it made the rest of the work much easier! I am working on a unicorn right now. I think I might end up making a few more to use as stocking stuffers for the holidays this winter.

I'm actually a little bit unhappy about the lettering. I wrote on the inside of the notebook with pencil and didn't realize how far off the "s" was until I was already done and there is no restitching on paper!

I wasn't sure if this should have gone in the sublime stitching board instead of general needlework (Mods, feel free to move it if it should).

Is this one of the soft cover or hardcover moleskins? I love Kurt Halsey, you did a great job!
Also, I didn't notice the 's' was off until I looked at it twice after you pointed it out.

Thanks!
It's a soft cover. So, it wasn't as hard to push through as the heavier covers, but my thumb was sore by the time I was through. I am going to post the unicorn when I am done with it too. I ran out of fabric to embroider on and hoops to use, so I decided I'd go for the notebooks.
I'm glad the "S" being off isn't too noticeable as there is nothing I can really do about it now.

I think the lettering looks great. It looks wonderful and your stitching is so clean.

If you really wanted to get the spacing better (and I agree with the others that it's not that big a deal) you could always extend the arms of the 'E' to make the E and S closer!
Cool job though Smiley

Thanks! Good point on extending the "E" I hadn't thought of that. I may try that to see if it looks better to me.

I am working on a unicorn notebook right now.
