Visit Oak Park would like to extend an invitation to local artists to apply for a unique opportunity to share their work with art lovers at ART al FRESCO!
During Downtown Oak Park’s Thursday Night Out program, the Oak Park Visitors Center will provide space for up to 4 artists to display and to sell their work in front of the Center at 1010 Lake St, Oak Park, IL.
Thursday Night Out attracts local residents and out of town visitors to the fabulous restaurants and businesses located within Downtown Oak Park. This program draws hundreds of shoppers and diners to the area each week with a coupon booklet for progressive dining as well as live music. It is a popular summer entertainment destination in Oak Park!
If you are an artist living in one of the twenty-one communities represented by Visit Oak Park, then we encourage you to apply. These communities are:
Bellwood, Berkeley, Berwyn, Broadview, Brookfield, Cicero, Elmwood Park, Forest Park, Franklin Park, Hillside, Maywood, Melrose Park, Northlake, North Riverside, Oak Park, River Forest, River Grove, Riverside, Schiller Park, Stone Park and Westchester, IL.
Art al Fresco will begin on Thursday, June 2, 2011 and will run every Thursday through August 25, 2011. The hours will be 4-7pm, and this event will be held rain or shine.
We have expanded Art al Fresco to include Saturdays and Sundays from June 25-August 21! Show your work on one day or both! The weekend hours are 11am-4pm.
