My bellydance troupe is doing a steampunk/burlesque inspired piece this year and in addition to our handmade costumes I decided to take on making the necklaces too.



I tea stained the Size 10 thread to match the octopus piece then modified a tatting pattern to needle tat the lace motifs. I then stiffened the lace with stiffening spray.



I love how they came out! Worked great with our costumes.

This is gorgeous!  I love the color blue you chose for the background and I'm totally in love with octopus things at the moment.
