I received an invite to a friends baby shower in the mail and was thinking to myself "self what would you have liked at your baby shower". The answer came to me a few days later. Handmade stuff. For some reason I have the need to make up patterns all by myself and well it usually takes a few tries. (Never was really good at following directions. So after about 50 drawings and countless hours of pulling hair out of my head I have a finished baby bag and other goodies. I included a covered wipes case, burp cloth, trash bag dispenser, changing pad and stuffed elephant.

a view of all the goodies inside

empty bag... has 5 interior pockets and also 2 exterior side pockets

all of the goodies inside... from left to right. 1)a cute little trash bag holder 2)burp cloth 3)covered wipes case

matching stuffed elephant. the other side is the striped fabric and he has a taggie tail

Thanks for looking and any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Happy Crafting!

Update! pic from the shower! See I really did make her cry. Roll Eyes

Thank you all for your nice comments! I went to the baby shower yesterday and she absolutely loved it! I feel kinda bad though. Cute baby stuff + hormones made her cry. It was a pretty good boost for the spirits though.   Grin

Update when my friend got home she looked through everything and decided that she needed me to make her a matching purse and wallet that can attach to the diaper bag. I think I might have created a monster. After she called me her friend called me and said "hey I met you at the baby shower can you make me a diaper bag just like Nikki's. I'll pay you for it" Wow I am going to be one busy mama this summer. Now off to find some new fabric and get to work.  Grin
