Thanks love Wink I haven't tried 5 DPNs yet, but 4 works fine for the moment. DPNs are sold in sets of 5 here, so I'll try that too some time.

I can't get used to dpns. Too many needles so the magic loop is my friend. Though I might try to force myself to get used to them.

A pretty easy and fun pattern from Ravelry: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/circle-socks

Honeycomb stitch is one of my new favorites! I made a couple awesome looking dishcloths with that pattern.

I learned to knit socks with 5 dpns and I really like that method. For baby socks 4 dpns is enough. But I've made friends with magic loop recently... First time I tried I was not impressed. It feels good to have several methods that I can use. Sometimes one is better than the other.

Yay, finished a pair of socks for dad  Cheesy

In progres:

Finished and blocked:

I improvised sock blockers from a cheap placemat  Wink

Size: Eur 42
Yarn:
Patons Kroy
and for the heel I used Steinbach Wolle
Needle size 2,5 mm
For the leg part (circle pattern) I used this pattern: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/circle-socks and for the rest of the sock a basic pattern from my Getting Started Knitting Socks book.

I'm not really happy with the cast on; it seems a bit too loose and it curls. So for my next pair I'll probably use the old Norwegian CO. Tips anyone?

Wow, super neat! I've never seen socks that use that honeycomb stitch.
