Socks Socks Sock! Mine are calling to me. They've been neglected.

Well, I could've been finished another pair by now. However. When I was in bed yesterday night I remembered I missed out the decreasing in the heel before joining it all up,  and so I tried taking it back. It went wrong, I got annoyed, and now I have no sock at all. I'm rather cross with myself about it all. This pair is for a friend's birthday on the 21st, so hopefully I'll have enough time to get it done by then!

Yay finished the guest decreases! Just toe decreases left, but that's in another 4 inches. I can totally tell, I'm so addicted.

I just learned to knit because I've seen so many lovely socks here on Craftster that I couldn't resist anymore  . I bought a book, watched all relevant (yes almost all of them) Youtube videos on sock knitting and got some nice supplies in the OWS swap... and now I'm addicted too!
Only, sock yarn is difficult to find here and when I find it it's way too expensive  , so I'll have to go to Germany for a day to do some sock yarn shopping.
So if that's ok, I'll join this sockalong. I love seeing all different socks made so far!

I finished my first pair of socks!


Pattern: Twilight from two-at-a-time socks.
I used almost 2 skeins of knit picks stroll multi in aloha colour way. I also decided to shorten the amount of ribbing because I got bored and wanted to get on with my socks and also shortened the leg because both dh and I prefer ankle socks.

Ohhh... I really like that colourway. Brown and teal is so nice together... As if I need more sock yarn...

My sock knitting is slow at the moment, but I've got two different pairs going. One is nearly finished, just need to decide how long I want the leg (and knit the other one... heheheh). The other is nearly past the gusset, just need to decide if I'll decrease one more round or not.

Thanks so much! I was sad to give them away but thats ok. I've cast on my second pair already, same pattern, different colours and can't wait to start Cookie A's Monkey pattern after this.

Whoever you gifted those socks to will adore them   And yay for starting a second pair!  I'm a bit burned out on knitting socks at the moments, but I'm sure you gals will keep be inspired and I'll be ready to pick up my current WIP again...soonish.

Idlers, they are very pretty socks. They look warm and lovely.
Have your tried knitting with 5 needles? 4 on the sock and 1 to knit? Makes kitting circular a lot easier.
I'm not fond of the circular needle, too much needle for a small sock
