The perfect time to make your first pair.
And the perfect time to show off your mad sock skills.

When posting finished socks try to have the following info to inspire future socks.
Pattern

I am a newbie sock knitter.  I'm using this sockalong to make some holiday gifts.  I'm going to go peek at my stash to see where I'm going to start.

I want to learn to make socks.  I just fogged my first attempt at a toe (2 hrs ago).... I don't want to play for prizes, but can I join anyway?  I have a book, yarn, needles, and a will.

You say crochet is welcome too?  I can't knit for the life of me (no matter how many times I try) but I've been wanting to try crocheting a pair of socks for ages now.  Yay socks!

Sure you don't have to join for prizes.  But I would love to see you first pair.  My first pair was a simple tube sock, which were immediately taken by a family member.

Yeah socks! Need a new project for drs apt and car rides.  Just saw the sock yarn ... Now gotta find the hooks and patterns.  Anyone ever try a " two at a time crochet sock" pair? Ive heard its easier to do (when knitting) but how about for crocheting.  Would be easy if you are looming.. Just need two looms.  And for those non needle knitters or crocheters... Yarngear.com has a really good loom knitting pattern for sock, slipper socks but socks none the less.
