I am ALL about this....I've decided to do socks for Christmas, but need to learn how. This is a perfect opportunity! I'll start as soon as I finish the baby blanket I'm working on. woohoo!!

Stash-busting is on my list of things to do this summer and I do have PLENTY of sock yarn just sitting there looking pretty.

I finally just bought sock yarn and smaller needles. I just can't seem to find a pattern I really like... If I can't find the right one, I might go for some yoga socks.

Can i knit you something in seed stitch? I'd love to swap you for: handspun yarn, hand carved banana stamp...

What are you looking for? Yarn weight? Style? Difficulty?

I've got trouble deciding on a pattern too... And I'm not sure if I'm going to knit for hubby or me first. For him I'm thinking D-Man (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/d-man) since the yarn I've got has some varigation and I'd go mad if I make socks his size in plain stockinette...

For me... I've got this really nice sushi sock roll in a Deep Sea colour that's used in this pattern here (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/triton-socks-2) buuuut... I'm not sure if I should knit that pattern or use the roll for a second go at making pomatomus (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/pomatomus). I love that pattern so, but I tried it a little bit early in my sock knitting days and made some poor choices in yarn colour...

This is so perfect - I'm in the middle of knitting my first pair of (very plain) socks as practice, because I plan on making pretty much everyone I know socks for Christmas Grin Might as well make a head start!

Personal swap? Yes please! Looking for jersey scraps.
Will craft for yarn.
