I got my hands on some Heather Ross fabric from the Far Far Away line. I've been making iPad cases for other people, and this one's for me! Okay, so it might actually go to my Mom who's a professional storyteller. Smiley magnetic closure, and magnets inside to hold it in place when turned into a stand. I'm pretty proud of this design. I "fussy cut" the closure button because I loved Rapunzel's disgruntled, disapproving face. The top pic looks wonky on top because of the elastic pulling in those two spots. It needed to be nice and snug.

And a pocket for my stylus and camera attachment dooohickys.

Re: magnets- not at all! Smiley the iPad has a solid state drive, so magnets are toally safe.

Wow! That fabric is AMAZING!  Did you use a pattern/tutorial or did you come up with the design yourself?

I would love to do a personal swap!  I can sew, knit, and crochet.  I have a 9 year old who loves to do swaps as well so we can do a mommy/daughter swap package. Smiley

It's my own design, and I'm finally getting happier with the outcome. I wanted it to be unique, but still simple and not too fussy. I think I'm on the right track with the magnets holding the stand in place. Smiley

Yes, it looks awesome! If I had an iPad, I would totally try to make this.  As it is, I am thinking that my Nook needs yet ANOTHER cover.... Smiley

It could so easily be resized to be a nook case or kindle case!
