I have become obsessed with making myself shorts for 2 reasons.
1. I need shorts
2. I have this really cool fabric I bought forever ago that I want to make into shorts but I really want them to turn out great!
So I have been practicing on clothing for upcycling.

Here are my button down shorts.

I love how these turned out. I have the buttons down one side with a pocket in front and back.

I have made up my own pattern, but here is a link to a tutorial here on craftsters that is similar to how I did this.

If only I could figure out the best way to do the waist...

I think using the buttons down one side is inspired!
