CHOCOLATE DIPPED CAKEBERRIES

TO START SUMMER OFF RIGHT, I DECIDED TO MAKE SOME SWEET JUICY STRAWBERRIES... OUT OF CAKE! I SCULPTED RED VELVET CAKE INTO A STRAWBERRY SHAPE AND DIPPED IN RED CANDY COATING, FOLLOWED BY A DIP IN CHOCOLATE AND A VARIETY OF TOPPINGS AND CHOCOLATE DRIZZLES, WITH GREEN FONDANT LEAVES/STEM. THEY LOOKED SO REAL AND WERE SO YUMMY! HOPE YOU LIKE THEM!

Gorgeous! Did you do the cakes truffle style where you make the cake and then squish it up? I've never tried before but these look so yummy!

I sculpted them by hand. Start by making a cone shape, then flip them on their sides nd round out the edges.

I must confess that when I saw the picture I went "Pffft! That's got nothing to do with the contest. She didn't make the strawberries look like anything else." and I clicked on it and realized they weren't strawberries. I was surprised because they look so real! Great job with that!
