I love this dress. I could definitely see myself pulling this on when my friends call me super early to go to the beach!

Is it a piece of the white knit on the bottom or is a ribbon?

It's just some white broadcloth. I made the original design a little shorter then I was comfortable with, so I added the white to match the top.

So what kind of stitch did you use to sew the knit top to the skirt?

The top is a knit which I cut twice the size I wanted it then sewed it to itself to make a tube. I turned it rightside out again. I then used the sewing machine to stitch the top of the skirt to the tube. The zigzag setting!
