My entry for the Fantasy Challenge.  He is my version of, "Crush" from, "Finding Nemo".  The pattern was designed by: Lisa Pay from her Fabric Junkies line.  She is an Australian artist.  Pretty awesome, considering my mom was an Aussie.  I'm shipping him to my dad on Mon. as a b-day present.  He lives in NC, and came back to OK to see my oldest son graduate from high school.  He saw "Crush" in progress, and asked if I would make him one for Christmas.  I know I won't get around to making another one any time soon, and since his b-day is June 12, I'm sending him this guy.  I have to make another one though, because my husband fell in love w/this one and didn't want me to send him.  I've always loved sea turtles, and I loved "Crush" and the movie, "Finding Nemo".  It would be my fantasy come true to have a real sea turtle!  Smiley

Thanks!  I'm getting a little bit better at taking pics.  My next door neighbor offered up her pond as a back drop.  Before I could say anything she grabbed him, to move him into a different spot, and dropped him into the pond.  For a whole horrifying second (for me anyways) he floated on top of the water, bobbing w/the waves (she has a small fountain in the middle).  He didn't get too wet, and dried quickly w/no spots/stains thank goodness!

I LOVE this!!! My honey's nickname is turtle so I collect them.  He buys me stuffed animal turtles and I have quite a few jewelry peices with turtles on them.  What a fantastic job you did on this one
