For the felt cutting, I draw my design with a disappearing ink pen on the back side and then use my good scissors to cut around the pattern.

I think the key is to use a nice wool felt. It seems to hold together better than craft felt.

I buy mine from this etsy shop...

So cute!! The bird is adorable and I love the idea of stamping the fabric.  Very cool Smiley

This turned out so great! I love the letter font for your stamps.
I have been wanting to try this for a while.
For the Mel Brooks Swap I stamped the swap details on the back of a hoop for my partner. It worked out pretty well but my ink was getting all smudgy and as it was on the back I let it slide.
Did you use any kind of fixative or "heat set" for this?

Shocked What a great idea, it is the stitching if writing which really puts me off adding it to hoops. Stamping here I come. Or xylene transfers.

I love the idea of stamping the back with the swap details! Really special and much faster than stitching the letters.

I used a permanent ink pad for the stamping. It smelled pretty terrible - like a giant sharpie marker - but it didn't get smudgy. I don't think it could be washed or anything though.
