Skirt made from a fantastically awesome Goosebumps bed sheet

Several years ago my Mom and I went to a thrift store in Alabama while I was visiting my grandparents and I stumbled upon this Goosebumps bed sheet in practically new condition. Even though I wasn't too great at sewing at the time, I had to have it because it was in such great condition and it reminded me of my childhood. I LOVED Goosebumps! I ended up putting it in my fabric stash and it sat there for years.... until a few days ago when I finally decided to turn it into a skirt. 

I didn't use a pattern.... I just winged it. It's fully lined with a black bedsheet (which I didn't get a picture of... but I'm really proud of how well it turned out on the inside!). I used 2 inch elastic and I gathered the hell out of the fabric... which has actually made the skirt quite poofy. The poof of it isn't illustrated in the photos, but it's pretty darn poofy! Oh well, though!

All in all, this skirt cost me about $10. 







I think I'm going to have to start making more skirts.

freakin cool! I loved goosebumps too! I got some sheets hanging around I've always thought of using.. Old TMNT, strawberry shortcake and smurfs though I've never even seen a goosebumps sheet! This is way awesome!
