Thanks for your nice compliments!  Here is another one I made.  It's much sturdier as I added a heavy duty interfacing in it, and bought strapping material for the handles, and sewed ribbon on that.  Sold both of these on ebay!!

I LOVE THAT BAG!

Is the dark transfer paper more expensive than normal white transfer paper, or is it the same price?

dark transfer paper is way more expensive than the regular kind, but it's unquestionably worth it.  I use it even on light fabrics now because the texture is so much better and just the quality of the image.

I printed out the picture I wanted from my computer onto iron on transfer paper (for dark colored fabric).  Then I ironed it on the fabric BEFORE I sewed the bag together. (including the inside pocket pic.  Hope that info helps!!

Lovely!  Where did you get the inspiration?

I got the inspiration from two places.....Right here on crafters.org!! (for making purses....I learned how to do a lining of a purse here) and of course Johnny Depp for the subject matter!!! Wink

Re Tutorial.....The style of the purse including the straps was my own idea, but there are GREAT instructions and tutorials for making bags in the Purse thread right here on this site.  That's where I learned how to sew handles on, and lining.  If you don't see a tutorial you like, I will try to remember the sketch I drew up of my pattern, but for details of lining, and straps, and sewing the bag together, I recommend reading the tutorials in the Purse section of this site...I'm sorry I can't remember which post I got the instructions from, (and I don't have time right now to search the posts, but if you go to that thread, it will be easy to find!!)  i hope that's of some help! Smiley
