A couple of months ago I entered a contest on Deviant Art. Didn't win sadly but I'm still awful proud of the piece I made. It was for a club and was all about picnics, create your favourite fantasy picnic.
I went for good old British fish 'n' Chips.
Description:
It's wet. It's cold. It's windy. It's Scarborough in October.
Scarborough has to be one of my favourite places ever. This is where we holidayed as a family and it's where I go to get some happy. And now it's the place where I got engaged (and where I'm hopefully going to get married!)
My ideal picnic is one I've had many a time: Seafood surprise cups (Prawns and Crab sticks) Fish and chips in paper eaten with small wooden forks, mushy peas and curry to go with the fish, cup of Tea, cup of Hot Chocolate and to finish it off a strawberry cream ice lolly (my favourite) and a Twister (My OH's favourite) All eaten sat on the beach, come glorious British sunshine (10 degrees) or glorious British rain (you know, minus 4 for something)
The sand and the rock are actually from Scarborough beach.
And the postcard is one I pulled from the internet here(It's circa 1970, but to be honest, Scarborough is stuck in 1970)
Everything is handmade by me out of polymer clay. Even the cups and polystyrene underneath of the fish and chips tray. Grease proof paper and a coffee stirrer have been used too!
I've had so much fun making this, and I'm awfully proud of it, my first miniature set. Hope you like it too!
Onto the pictures!
