Anyone know of a triangle motif that is solid but will seam together flat? When I slip stitch my triangles together they way to be a ball instead of a panel for pillow. I'd make a 3D pillow but I don't have a lot of the soft yellow yarn. I have enough for three 4" triangle motifs and some leftover for accents.

If the triangle motifs you're using already will lie flat on their own, then it's only the joining method that needs changing.  I'd recommend whip stitch.  My motifs lay flat with that, and there's no ridge or bump anywhere.

You do this by using a length of yarn and a darning needle, and sew the motifs together.
