My first sewing project!

Well technically not first...I've made a little tote and cell phone case in my sewing class but this is the first  thing I've done without my sewing instructor standing over my shoulder telling me what to do

I completely screwed up the casing and sewed my binding over it so I had to cut it off after I realised my mistake. And well... it looks a bit weird. But I'm hoping I can fix it up to give as a gift for my brother's first baby, due this June

I've been sewing since ... oh, about 1977 ... and I still screw up binding every time I try to use it!  I think it's super cute and I'm sure baby will love it
