Sooo, who of us hasn't heard of the Robert Kaufman Horror Movie Monster Fabric? probably many craftsters, actually. But nevertheless, I heard of it, fell in love, and proceeded to pay a shameful amount for shipping a few yards of it across the atlantic ocean.
Aaaaand who of us hasn't heard of Rae's Buttercup Bag pattern? Exactly.

So I went ahead and created a bag with a craftster classic pattern and a craftser classic fabric. It's a creativity blackhole. But I needed a bag for the summer and darn it if I don't love it. Here it is:

I made it slightly bigger than the original (a good 35x25cm), because if I can't fit a book, my sunglasses case and a camera in it, then it's not my bag.

You can see the pleating properly there.

I also added a zipper closure because, well, let's say that if you CAN fit someone else's hand in it while it's "closed", then it's not my bag.

Also, as a side note: the buttercup bag pattern is *fantastic*: easy and quick to make, no wonder there's so many around Cheesy

It is great fabric! But also I like the way you've adapted the pattern for yourself: no-one knows better than you what you need from a bag!

Look twice, buy once. Nooooo
Look twice, decide I can make one instead.

Great job!  I like how you made it specifically for you.  Me, I always make my bags with a long strap to wear cross-body.  Comes from needing my hands free to deal with 5 kids.
