so for the last day at my secondary school everyone dresses up on random costumes, me and my friends thought it would be fun to all go as cave girls and here are the finished products! this really could not be easier, all you need is some loveley fluffy animal print fabric and some brown suedette (or watever you want to use).

if anyone wants to know how the tops or skirts or wrist cuffs were made just leave me a message and i#ll be more than happy to help  Smiley

i recommend cutting out the skirt shape in newspaper first to check the sizing, the length shown in pink should ideally wrap around your waste at leats 1 and a half times an dthe strips for tying about 30cm long ( and not too thin so they won't frey and break). i chose to hem the top of my skirt but my 3 friends didn't and theirs turned out fine so i guess it really doesnt matter! the jaggedey edge is simply made by cutting with any old scissors - but it is a plan to remember it will get much shorter after this and make the intial rectangle longer than u want the final skirt.

the tops are pretty much just as easy as the skirt, they fasten at the back with three ties and need absolutely no sewing! after i'm done revising maths i'll put a pattern up for the tops

enjoy! xxx

yea this was for our last day after GCSE's, was such a fun day! i'll post up a how to make the skirt in a just a mo, you don't need to sew as the whole ruggedy thing just adds to the cavegirlness but you can hem the top if you want to.
