I painted me some chucks. They were plain purple and lame.
I thought about a good vs. evil theme and since I love Batman this is what I came up with:
One shoe decdicated to Batman & friends, one dedicated to my favourite Batman villains

there are (of course) Batman and Robin on on side:

and Batgirl, Commissioner Gordon,Alfred and a Gotham City skyline on the other

Batgirl again

and now the evil shoe:

Joker (of course), Poison Ivy and the Arkham Asylum sign

Some of the Penguins umbrellas, Killer Croc, Riddler, Harley Quinn, Two Face

and here is a shot of them both together again

I love that they are so colourfull, I hate how some of the faces turned out.
What about you?

I used regular fabric paint (I ran the brand new shoes trough the washing machine to get rid of any kind of impregnation) and covered them in  a thin spray clear coat after painting. I am pretty sure acrylic paint works for panting too...

Wow - those are hella awesome! Such a great job - and great getting all those characters in.

(I've been wanting to do some Wonder Woman Con's since I'm not sure Converse will ever really release their entire DCU line.)

Love the shoes  Grin

I've been wanting to paint my shoes too! But with anime, lol.
How did you paint it without it bleeding? It doesn't appear to be thick paint either...And was it freehand? Or did you trace a pic first?
Either way, i love how it came out!

MoonlitSun- I am not so much into anime but I can totally see that! The bleeding part is a bit tricky, you have to add just the right amount of water to your paint that is has the right viscosity for the fine painting. And I predrew the raw outlines of the characters with a pencil to have a "painting guidance" but it was hardly visible on the purple fabric. I would recommend doing it on white chucks if available. Good luck on your shoes!
