Snap the Dragon!

Both of my boys have been harassing me, asking me to design a dragon... and I finally did!  I've actually got a second, larger one in the works however that one is going in the box to join a few other projects waiting for me to get enough together to submit for a book proposal  

One of my testers named him Snap the Dragon and I loved the name. I'm so glad that she let me run with it

He's 14" long, from nose to the tip of his tail.  I chose to not make his wings posable with the help of wire as I wanted him to be totally play friendly.  His wings are stiff enough to hold a pose for a bit though

I had so much fun designing him - and am planning on a few more.  My oldest was upset that my dragon wasn't fierce so a not so gentle dragon is in my future lol.  It's all good.  I am planning on making a few eventually.

I chose to use pink eyes as I didn't want him to look too angry - with just enough color to show he's got a little fire in there lol.  The next one will have those bright yellow mean eyes per Logan's request



I spent a long time on his wings as I had a picture in my head of what I wanted them to look like and I didn't stop until I got them the way I wanted them.  I love the way they came out!





He's also got a great arch to his back.  Yeah, I know.  I'm pretty retentive lol.  I can't tell you how many times I reworked his body until it was exactly the way I wanted him to look.  I love the shaping.  Okay.  I just love this dragon lol.  I admit it!!

Darker colors would help to make him more fierce, some theet with blood on too.

I really didn't want to make a fierce dragon - the next one will be though
My youngest son loves him.  I keep having to take it back out of his bedroom - which means that I just need to make him one of his own lol

Thank you so much!  I really tried to get him exactly the way I wanted him.  I absolutely adore the way he came out!
