Sorry about the photos but its pouring (and freezing) here in Sydney so this is the best I could do.

I like this one as it has no Maple Syrup like others and no corn syrup which isn't available here.

You will notice that I have used Puff Pastry instead of shortcrust, this is because I don't tolerate the colour in most of the frozen and this was the only pastry I could find. I'm too lazy to make my own.

Oh my god that looks amazing. I want to eat it so bad!! I've become obsessed with pecans recently and have been dying for a caramel pecan pie. I'll be making a few pies for my boyfriends family when they get back from a cruise, but unfortunately his mom's allergic to pecans! =[ Haha

I hope you enjoyed that! Was it weird to have the puff pastry crust? Or did it make it more delicious?

I've never made a pecan pie with maple syrup. I'd like that paired with pecans though. Smiley

I may have got the maple syrup mixed up with some other recipe. The pastry didn't puff up too much as I only left a little above the pie mixture. Unfortunately I found out that I don't like pecan pie much but my family do and tell me its good and are eating with gusto.
