Absolutely jaw-dropping!! I like that she still has a cutesy look to her!

May I ask what type of paint you used?

thanks again, everyone! y'all are all super sweet!

she was painted with regular old flip-top craft acrylics like you can get at walmart for $2 or $3 a bottle. takes several coats, but the colors are great and you can't beat the price!  Wink

Well I liked your doll SO MUCH that I thought I'd give it a go. I dashed to the store earlier and bought a super CHEAP plastic doll (I live in South Africa and have ZERO chance of getting a similar doll to the one you used).

I am trying to paint her face as we speak...

i don't think you're going to have much luck getting acrylic paint to stick on the plastic.... a better option would be a cloth doll or one made from unglazed porcelain or ceramic. (or even molded resin if that's all you can get) go on my profile and browse thru the topics i've posted ~ there are a couple where i talk about reclaiming / repainting old thrifted figurines and there's discussions on there about paints / brushes / preparing your surface.....

good luck and we'd love to see pics!  Smiley
