I was in Spanish class the other day, and we were going over the vocabulary that you would use to describe yourself (ojos verdes, pelo largo y marron, yada yada), and I started doodling in the corner of my book my 'self-portrait'. It was kind of cute, so when I got home I sat at my desk and drew it on a canvas. It looked kind of plain, so I grabbed whatever was near me and sort of glued it all to the canvas. And my doodle portrait was born!  Cheesy

I used a lot of random odds and ends in this thing because I wanted a lot of different textures on this. The nose I molded out of polymer clay, so it's three-dimensional and sticks out from the face. The silver spots in the corner are bird seed, the silver lines on the left are those little red sticks that come in those Ritz cracker snack things. The earring was a rhinestone, and the dress was sequins, because I quite like shiny things  Wink

This is a really cool self-portrait. It's really neat that you used what was nearby, I'm a big fan of doing that in my own art. But, what you've done is just amazing, as I read down the list of things you used all I could think is, this is amazing.
You've got a lot of talent.

Whoa, this is really nice. Your use of mix media and textures is very unique and looks great. Your colors also rock.

Wow. This may have started as a doodle, but it's a serious work of art. I love your resourcefulness in using what you had around, and the style of the piece is beautiful!
