I claim SciFunk for felted nesting bowls! And possibly something else.

This is my first claim for this round.

I am 21 and I just graduated from college with a BA in English like, three weeks ago. I currently live in Virginia Beach, VA (USA). I'm moving into my own place with my boyfriend this summer, so house/apartment stuff is appreciated! My style is pretty haphazard--I never coordinate anything, so my decorating style is whatever I like, all cobbled together. I love bold prints and art deco and fun colors, but I'm not a fan of pink or orange. I love dark colors, like maroon and navy. I knit like a fiend (almost constantly) and also crochet, sew, spin, and dabble in paper craft and jewelry. I have cats and a dog at home, and they all stay out of my crafting supplies. I don't have any allergies. PM with any questions!

** = really want

Crafts:

-   Framed art (drawing, painting, embroidery... anything really.), Castle, Bones, grammar, knitting, Futurama (but not Bender cause I have lots of Bender art), or Battlestar Galactica-themed would all be awesome, as well as various generic snark, hilarity, or pretty-ness. I have some favorite quotes too, so pm if you want more specifics. I also just recently started watching Stargate Atlantis (I'm on season five), so non-spoilery art (especially of McKay) would be awesome.
- Pretty much anything related to the Whedonverse (Buffy/Angel, Firefly, Dollhouse). T-shirts, pillows, art, anything. I'm hopelessly obsessed.
- Ceramic mugs/bowls/dishes. Pottery is one craft I know I'll probably not get the chance to do, so I love looking at other people's.
- A nice handbag. There are a couple of examples of my style on my wists. Something fairly plain in shape in a solid color or fun print. Fairly large (I carry everything with me), messenger style,  crossbody strap, lots of pockets.
-   Handspun yarn
-   Shawl pins/brooches.
-   Cloth Napkins (I have a couple and I'd like to have a lot. Cotton or polyester is fine
-   Dangely earrings or pendant necklaces. There are examples on my wists.
- Hoopla hoops. I want to start a wall.
**  A corset-backed garter belt
- Mostly anything on my wists, but I'd prefer to know more specifically cause there's some stuff on there I wisted but could do without (the t-shirts, mostly)
** a thin, long-sleeved cardigan (like made from a t-shirt cut up the middle or whatever). Possibly decorated!
** a crinoline/petticoat
-  Headbands (the hard grippy ones. I prefer simple and understated to big and bold).
- This poster: http://pinterest.com/pin/13848749/
- Summer skirts (pm for sizes), a-line, elastic waist
- Wide belt, preferably stretchy
- Covered tape measure

Supplies

**  Embroidery hoops
-   Roving/Top for spinning (combed or carded; locks would be fine too)
-   Large buttons, preferably in sets of at least four.
-   Yarn (natural fibers only, please), especially greens (like, forest or kelly) and blues or neutrals, any weight. Recycled yarn (from sweaters) is great and I'm looking for about 1200 yards dk linen/cotton for a dress. If you find a large (like XL) linen/cotton/wool sweater with crocheted seams (NOT surged), go ahead and send the sweater and I'll undo it myself. : ) (Any color)
-   Thread (any color)
-  Tapestry needles. I am ALWAYS losing them.
-   Machine sewing needles (I go through them so quickly) regular, but also leather/denim.
**   Kool-Aid/dye for yarn/roving
**   Awesome fabric--abstract/geometric prints, swirls, Amy Butler-esque, or linen. I love linen. (Linen-look cotton is also great)
-   Resin kit
-   Purse handles (especially longish ones)/frames
-  Felt (acrylic or wool, I don't mind either)
-  Easy sewing patternssimple blouses, skirts, and shorts. I'd love a simple shirt dress. I'm a US size 2 or 3 but please pm for more exact measurements.
-  Headbandsthe hard grippy ones. For decorating.
-  Embroidery floss, especially metallic. Also, perle cotton.
-  Tatting supplies. I have some thread, but I'd love a little how-to kit. I'd love to learn.
-  Steampunk ephemera--gears, bits for jewelry making or paper crafting, buttons, etc.
-  Elastic, both half inch ish (for skirts) and the kind with the holes in that you can thread ribbon through (for making garters)
-  Alligator clips

Extras

Knitting/crocheting books (but pm first)
Paper crafting/card making books
Sewing books/magazines
Back issues of Interweave Knits, Knit1, Knit Simple or Vogue Knitting (or any other knit mags; please pm cause I do have some)
I'll never say no to chocolate or candies, especially gummies.

I claim ifallthraindrops for a wist inspired set of cusion/pillow covers.

1/0/0

Hi all, My Name is Elaine, I live in New South Wales, Australia. I am a SAHM with 2 beautiful girls aged 1 and 3 years old and a hard working husband.  I really enjoy crafting and love the swapping element of craftster. My favourite colours are purple, silver, navy blue, kaki green (But not actual kaki!) and dark browns. I have had a bit more of a liking of pinks since Ive had my two girls! I like Celtic and Scottish stuff (my heritage), historical/ archaeological stuff, cooking, reading, red dwarf, funky fitted t-shirts, gardening, my favourite animal is a lady bug. I prefer not to receive items that are gold, neon, of religious nature, explicit, foul language or nudity thank you. We have no allergies, but prefer if your crafts to arrive smoke and pet hair free but as long as you smoke away from your craft and you dont let your pets sit on your knitting then we should be ok!

Crafts:
Pintrest  Ive recently started using Pintrest for my wish list. I love how you can separate the categories.
Wooden door plaques with my girls names on them. Maybe something like Jennilocker made for this FOC Wist swap: door plaque
Purple inchies  that I can frame and hang on the wall. I have a huge frame that I m hoping to fill.. eventually.
Fitted t-shirt for me with cool printed/appliqued design Im an Australian size 14 on top (which I believe is a US size 12 or a UK size 14). I quite like this tree of life t-shirt  More examples [url/]http://pinterest.com/nilmerg/for-me/] here[/url] but Im open to any design.
Clothes for my girls I love anything that is a bit different to what all the other kids are wearing we only have one decent clothes shop in town, so most kids own the same clothes around here! Let me know if you fancy this one and what measurements you might need. Oh and its winter here at the moment. We dont really wear pretty dresses much, would prefer more every day clothes. Im happy with recycled clothing that you have modified or embellished as long as it is good quality, in decent condition and clean.
Earrings I usually wear silver (type) stud earrings no danglies. When I was younger, you could pick up pretty cheaply a huge assortment of earrings spiders, pot leaves(!), elephants, flowers etc. I would love some new ones as many of mine are nearly 15 years old! They dont need to be pairs as I usually wear odd earrings anyway! Here are some examples on my pintrest.
Incense holder (that catches the ash) and incense (I like nag champa). Doesnt have to be as fancy as the one Ive linked, but I do like this one!
An Embroidery hoopla Here is a link to a picture of my small hoopla wall. I would love more to add to it. I have quite a few pined onto my hoopla likes board on Pintrest
Some polymer clay topped sewing pins to use to hang hoops onto my hoopla wall. There are examples on several of the boards on my Pintrest
Pendants I am always wearing a pendant  type necklace on a just longer than choker length black thong. I have quite a collection which has grown nicely since Ive started swapping on craftster, but I always need more. Anything goes, although not too big and I would ALWAYS choose silver over gold. (doesnt have to be real silver, Im not allergic to anything). I really like the glass pendants that Dawl makes. And have loads of other examples here
Crochet Mary Jane style slippers size 7-8 us. 5-6 UK or  39 Europe. Something like this
I solemnly swear that I am up to no good bracelet I love this silver bracelet, If as silver type metal is too expensive, I wonder if it could be stamped onto a black leather bracelet?
A Messenger bag for everyday use. Some examples are on my sewn items pintrest board
Fold away shopping bags Lots of examples in my sewn items pintrest board I hate plastic bags so anything that I can carry around to save picking up more of the dam things would be great.
Notebook cover - I'd love something Tesha Moore style preferably an A6 spiral bound (spiral on the side not top) notebook, but A5 would be ok if A6 is too small. I love the random attention to detail needed for this type of work and just don't have the randomness required to make it myself. This is an example I like.

Craft supplies
I have started making inchies and I have a black and a brown sharpie, but would love a set of sharpies in other colours or even just some individual sharpies.
A Dark brown ink pad for the edges of my inchies (I have black and various shades of purple already).
Basic set of Watercolour paints for inchie use!
2.5 fussy cut squares for an eye spy quilt I need lots of them still! Or scraps with identifiable objects that I can cut down to 2.5 squares.
Some machine or hand embroidered images or numbers or letters on 2.5 squares that I can incorporate into my eye-spy quilt. (remember that 0.5 inches will be lost into the seam all the way around)
Fat quarters of quilting fabric Particularly tone on tone fabric. So for example say Blue with blue swirls or green with green spots. (to go between the fussy cut squares and for the backing I dont want plain, but dont want to distract too much from the I-spy game either)
Any other quilting fabrics you have to offer even reasonable sized scraps as I do quite a bit of applique. Patterns or plains, neat or scrappy, anything goes when it comes to my stash!
Any buttons as many as you can spare, odd or not. Large, small, any colour is great, even plain work shirt buttons.
Empty Janome bobbins clear plastic (not metal) Not sure it makes much difference, but my machine is a DC3018 example
Machine sewing needles I get through them quite quickly. Regular is fine. My machine is detailed above (not that that makes any difference I think!)
Sewing thread I use Gutterman threads. Any brand is fine as long as it is good quality. Black, White, light grey or whatever you have is good. (even if they have been used a bit!)
Any small toys or identifiable items that would be suitable for putting into I-spy bags good condition used items are fine.
DMC embroidery thread. Any colours would be great, but Black and white are always useful! Id love more of a selection of the metallics and the variegated too.
Embroidery Hoops I always have a hoop on the go either for myself, a friend or a fellow crafter. I get through lots of hoops! I use mostly 6, but would also be interested in receiving smaller hoops 2, 3 or 4.

Other things / extras
If there is space in the parcel, I wouldnt turn down some yummy treats! I love mint chocolates!!!!! And always enjoy trying something that you cant get in the UK or Australia.
I have a supplies and extras board on my pintrest here which shows some of my favourite things to eat!!! Wink
A favourite recipe (my recipe file is an A4 folder)
A favourite photograph, 6x4 is fine.

My name is Casey and I live in Southern Colorado with my love and our 3 furbabies (dogs). Its a drastic change from the sunny San Diego I grew up in but love it here nonetheless. I'm Alyssa from Cambridge, Massachusetts. I like s'mores, libraries, and unexpected bunny sightings. I don't like windy weather or being late.

When I don't give any specifics, please feel free to follow one of my themes below:
-Science! Ideas include chemistry, glassware, DNA, genetics

-peacocks
-chinchillas
-wizards

Failing that, I don't like brown very much, or the combination of brown and blue. You can definitely message me with questions. Smiley

Crafts

  • spoon rest
  • address labels
  • oven mitts
  • trivets
  • dishcloths and dishtowels, somewhat absorbent
  • coffee spoon
  • clever door stop
  • stationery with matching envelopes
  • dog toys
  • clever tea cosy
  • kindle cover, at least a bit padded (fleece would be fine)
  • compact wallet like this
  • smallish backpack/knapsack type thing. Just something that can carry a couple books and a water bottle, with shoulder straps.
  • a set of dangly earrings with matching studs. I have two holes in each ear, so a stud + dangly in each ear is my favorite way to wear earrings. Plainish and silver is fantastic.
  • puppy treat bag, fanny pack style. Pretty open, like a climbing chalk bag, but preferably with something like a zipper to close it.
  • cute little hair clips, the small size bobby pin or 2-3" clippies
  • felted nesting bowls
[/s] Thanks Ifallthraindrops!

  • any of the fabrics listed in my profile
  • a bangle mold for resin
