Made this sweet little clock for the Clock Swap!

The clock mechanism/face is a piece I salvaged from a thrift store find. It struck me as very nautical for some reason. Maybe because the thing I took it out of was a big wooden porthole-looking thing...

I set it into a small wooden craft box that had a thin inlaid panel in the center. I punched that out, then covered the gaps in the corners with these lovely brass scroll findings, also from the thrift store. The dotted trim is some of my favorite seam binding from my vintage stash.

Close-up of the latch and brass findings. The metal on the clock was a lovely aged brass too.

The box can be opened both to replace the battery/set the clock and stash little treasures! I added hardware so it can be hung or set on a table.

This was a fun project. I think I'll be making more clocks in the future, hopefully for another swap! Thanks for looking!

What a great idea to make it a storage facility as well.
