MONEY SHOT!!

Okay, so it wasn't that horrible. It was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be! But the time committment on these things is insane...I completely understand why people charge so much for them. If I ever decide I want one, I'll just go to Frederick's of Hollywood and buy one Cheesy

This was for my partner Mod35tbabe in the Tudor Swap! It's a Simplicity pattern, don't remember which number.

Fabric is a lovely navy blue satin and a brown striped ultrasuede. So lush! I trimmed the bust with some lovely soft blue lace. The grommets gave me the most trouble--they're a pretty copper color. The lacing is leather cord.

I added this little rose applique for a fun detail. It went well with the Tudor theme too.

Yay! I was glad when this thing was done. I'm happy that my partner is happy with it! Thanks for looking Smiley

Wow!! Absolutely beautiful!! I've been wanting to make a corset for sooo long! But i'm terrified of them. They seem like the biggest pain! I broke two needles sewing boning the size of my pinky into a bodice, who knows what would happen with a corset.

How long did it take you to make?

Corsets are a labor of love, but looks like you did an amazing job. I bet your partner was one happy camper.

Hmmm, I can make a corset faster than I can make a lot of stuff! That's weird...All the same this one looks great.

Thanks for the compliments!

I think it probably took around 15-20 hours of work altogether.

Trust me guys, I got mega spoilt and the corset was only one of many awesome things I received. I haven't as yet fixed it up so I can wear it (it's a touch too big) - I admit I'm scared to do it in case I ruin all that hard work but I promise one day I will fix it and do a good action shot Smiley

If you say 'plz' because it's shorter than 'please',I'll say 'no' because it's shorter than 'yes'.
