I made this pillow a while back and thought I would share since I'm really happy with how it turned out! The pattern is based off of this (http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/90360AD.html?noImages=) free Lion Brand pattern, but I adapted it to create a pillow rather than an afghan. For the front I did one repeat of the tree pattern, and for the back I repeated the divider motif from the pattern. I used close to the same border as well, with some minor adaptations.

Really nice - so smart of you to just use the one motif for a pillow!

Thanks for the kind words! I love the white too, but I have to keep it in a safe place to ensure the color stays that way. Tongue

I've seen this kind of crochet work in the old magazines and pattern books.  I love the tone on tone pattern work.  Great job on making it modern!!

Great idea! I wanted to make that afghan but I was afraid I would get tired of it. The pillow is perfect!

>>Clapping hands in delight <<  Love this-trees are one of my favorite subjects, and the work you've done here is wonderful!  I have drooled over this pattern in the past, but have been scared away from it because of the "experienced" skill level required.  Was it tough to do?

I love the pillow!  I have the pattern saved for a gift for my mother in law, but I just might have to make one for myself.

I love the white on white!  I totally envy your ability to alter a pattern so much and keep it so awesome!
