He loves the outdoors...fishing, hunting, & camping..and he also loves sports, basketball & football...
But I have no idea what to get/make him! So can you please help me? i'd appreciate it so much! thanks!

I don't really have any ideas for the sports, but your idea of a letter sounds really great. I know how my stepdad is about me, he says he considers me his 'daughter he didn't get to meet until she was twelve'. Stuff like that, for most dads or dad-types (especially from their girls) really touches them. I think for  my real dad, I'm going to draw a 'why i love my daddy' book in crayons and everything with my two baby siblings.
Good luck!

The picture frame sounds good.  You could decorate the picture frame with outdoors-y stuff like twigs and leaves from your back yard, green and brown buttons, etc.  You could also stencil on sports logos.
