So... I've recently gotten into the whole M&P soaping thing and immediately got hooked, so I'd like to share with you a new set of soap I created representing our solar system Smiley I used a mix of honey and aloe glycerin base for all of these soaps, so they're very moisturizing!

Sun (Apricot Freesia FO and Bamboo Powder exfoliant)- hot pour second layer onto set first layer

Mercury (Celestial Waters FO)- layers (you can tell when I poured too hot or too soon for some of the layers, plus, the titanium dioxide didn't fully incorporate which is why the top looks speckled white)

Venus (Pomegranate and Black Currant FO)- angled layers

Earth (Earth Musk FO)- swirled top layer (I love the brown mica, it looks really neat ^_^)

Moon (Lavender Bouquet FO and white pumice exfoliant)- did not turn out anything like I imagined as all my colors blended together. Poured in large amount of black colored base and immediately poured in silver and white. I was hoping for a convection swirl, which I got, but the colors blended too much in the process.

Mars (Berrywine FO)- simple cubed imbeds

Jupiter (Wasabi FO)- angled layers again

Saturn (Eden's Garden FO)- spooned layers (colors didn't show so well- it's light gold mica, light purple, and black swirls)

Uranus (Energy FO)- layers, cold and hot poured swirls (white was cold, yellow was hot into a warm-ish blue base)

Neptune (Relaxing FO)- layers disrupted by a spoon

Pluto(Blackberry Spice FO)- more angled layers

(And yes, I still considered Pluto a planet ^_^)

Thanks for looking!

That is so cool! Great job! I REALLY want to get into soapmaking, but I have no idea where (or how) to start.

Pookyblossom- You can check out these sites:
http://teachsoap.com/ (I'm on the forum and the people there are incredibly helpful and usually answer within minutes to any inquiries)
http://www.youtube.com/user/soapqueentv#p/u/38/c5ouJZfluMY (watch all her videos, they're filled with awesome tips and tricks as well as all the info you'll need to get started)
and
http://www.soapqueen.com/

I would not suggest buying soap, colorant, or fragrance from your local store because it's expensive for it's incredibly poor quality. Instead, I buy from Brambleberry.com (they have a couple of great kits you can buy, too!)
You can also check out: http://www.thesage.com/catalog/index.html
there are other online stores that are really great, too Smiley
Good luck!

This is amazing.  Shocked I've never done soap making before and these look so cool. Way to go for considering Pluto a planet!
