Hi!

I made a present for my boyfriends mum, her cat Tommie. I used the Fuzzy Kitten pattern from PlanetJune, but added a muzzle/snout and used my own, well Tommies own, colour layout. In another topic here, I wrote that I'm having some trouble giving away amigurumi. This one I must give away. I made some nice pics of him so I can still have him someway. I hope she'll love him!  Smiley

And oh! This is the first amigurumi for which I used animal safety eyes. I guess I like them, but they also give Tommie some kind of blank expression. I don't know Huh.

Cheers, Zoey.

super cute Smiley  You did a great job.  I'm sure she'll love it.  That's awesome that you matched the coloring pattern to the actual kitty.  I so need to learn how to do this!

Thanks! The colour pattern isn't an exact match of course, but as close as I can get it. You should really give it a try, it isn't that difficult! What I do first is making a simple drawing of the project, rounds and stitches in it, to decide where to use which colour approximately. The drawing I use as a guide.

I made a mistake with Tommies colours though. Embarrassed The white on the shoulders of the body is a bit to low, so I couldn't attach the forefoot's to it. I had to make the top of the paws orange because otherwise the colours wouldn't overflow from body to paw. So crochet Tommie has orange shoulders instead of white. A bit of a petty but next time better right!

What an adorable little kitty! Great work. I need to find some fuzzy black yarn to recreate my furball.

Crafty-minou: I can't remember exactly how I made the snout because I made a few before I was content with it, but I think, when I counted the stitches on it, that I did: Round 1: magic ring of 4, round 2: 2 sc in each st around, so ended with 8 st. I put a tiny little bit of filling in it and sewed it on the head.

Hope this'll help ya!
