stabilising film and removal from iron

according to the packet on my Magic Film, it should peel off my iron once it's been removed from the fabric with the heat.... but it doesn't and now I have brown smears on my iron. am I doing something wrong?

The way I get stuff I've accidentally laminated onto my iron off is to use one of those green scrubbies. Can you tell I've done this more than once!

lol... green scrubbie it is hahahaha!! welll, I actually used a sort of metally one that looks like lots of steel "swarf" offcuts. oh, also, Astonish cream. amazing stuff if you're in the uk lol.

husband suggested geting a cheap iron just for my "projects" I might take him up on the offer.

I've got a metally one that I use on all my pots and pans apart from the non-stick coating ones, but my iron has a non stick coating and I've scratched it trying to clean it (boo) with the metal one, so I don't do that anymore.

Offer your husband a cheap iron for the clothes and keep the good one for your "projects". Hehe
