Does anyone have experience using soda can's for things?  I want to cut off the tops and bottoms and use the middle part since it will be flat.  I want to use it to make armor for an amigurumi I'm working on.

I recently started playing with crafting with aluminum cans. I'm mostly making shaped punched jewelry.

My advice is check out this video to make sure you are being safe while cutting the cans:

I like your idea about the armor. Looking forward to seeing it's completion.

That's basically how I cut them but with regular scissors.  Wish I had those cool electric scissor things  Cry  I have mainly Coca-Cola cans but would like some other colors.  I mainly don't drink to many other flavors.

I had the same problem with not a variety of different colored cans. So I started painting them with acrylic paints and decorating them with glitter glue. hope that helps.
