Just finished this baby sweater for my best friend's little girl.  You can't tell from the photo, but the green yarn is super sparkly and happy.  I couldn't resist making a little sweater with it.  The flower is just two flower motifs sewn together with a rhinestone button, and it is removable.  Can you tell I have a son and have been dying to make some girly stuff?

I used the Little Girls Shell Vest pattern from Ravelry.  http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/little-girls-shell-vest

Thanks for looking!  Comments welcome.

That looks great! I like the flower embellishment. Suzetta's patterns are nice and well-written.

OMG that beautiful! I never knew I liked dressing up little girls till I had one, my son has far too many opinions on what he want to wear now!

Love that it's not typical girly colors. By girl #3 I was tired of it (and not finished having girls).  Just added that pattern to my queue  If LilBit gives me a chance, I'll make it for her.

Thank you!

Grave_Girl -- I agree, I like bolder colors than the usual baby palette.  I wanted to make something totally sassy for her.  I should mention, in case you crochet this, I left the picot trim off mine, if you notice it looks a little different than the pattern pic.

Great color, I love the fact you made the flower removable; just to make it match with that lil cute overly pink skirt.
Green is so vibrant for little girls.

I just found out recently that I'm pregnant and I would love to make somethings for my little one. I just have the hardest time reading patterns. I'm amazed, good for you Smiley Keep it up !
