@ChaniLM - OMG!!!!! I can't believe I wrote "SYLE!" Holy crap!!! I didn't notice it at all until you just pointed it out! And neither did any of the other people who looked at it! My hubby and I just had a belly laugh at this major error... my goodness. And he kept joking as I was making this that it would be hilarious if I accidentally misspelled something!!
Maybe that's why the blue hairs were frowning!!!
DOH!!!!!!!!!

I really wish I could tell you which one element I love about this piece but I can't even begin to start narrowing it down like that. Classic sampler style, colors, what it says, what it means, the games you used and how...
This is one of those pieces that I have just sat here and LOOKED at various times today and at length.
I'm in Sacramento and know what you mean in regards to entering in the county/state fair and the looks that come with non-traditional pieces. I hope you get to spend some time near your piece when it is on display, you will have no problem finding love from fair-goers for a piece like this!
I actually looked at this piece numerous times and started replying before I realized I had not even read your actual post (sorry). So is this the very first cross stitch you have done or did you do any "practice pieces" before hand? Regardless if it's your first or fiftieth piece it's flat out awesome!

@whateverjames - thanks so much for your kind words. This was actually my first big project. I had done a couple of small cross stitch projects before this, but no actual practice for this one. I sort of just dove into it!

As a "blue hair", I think this is awesome and the syle can definitely be played as a secret code
. It's so cool, it doesn't have style, it has syle...cause it so smooth.
Excellent stitching!

I absolutely heart your entry!!! You did such a great job and WOW for your 1st time! I would definitely be in the party that smiles at this entry if i were to step into that air conditioned area of the fairgrounds!!! There is a pizza spot we go to here in Vegas that has a Ms. Pacman and Asteroids combo old school arcade game. I <3 playing Ms. Pacman and my fella goes for the Asteroids, I seriously want that machine in our house!!! You should get yourself one of those plug-in Pac-man games, just plugs right into the tv...my guy got me one for Christmas a couple of years ago, simple joystick "joy". Thank you for sharing!!!!!

REALLY awesome...and play off the "syle" thing. maybe it was some incredibly rare processor used in the first Ataris? Or maybe it was the manufacturer name of the company that made the ball top to the joystick on the arcade games? either way, your piece has definite syle...I LOVE it!!! well done & good luck!

Thanks for your encouragement everyone! Yes, I will definitely play off the "Syle." After all, isn't the Sci-Fi channel now the "Syfy" channel?? I'll keep you posted on the results!!
