Hello! So I'll be living in the dorms for the first time at Csu Channel Islands in the fall as a junior. My friend swapped me her mini fridge for a custom dress. I just finished it, and couldn't be more in love! She'll be wearing to her bridal show this weekend!

My friend, in the dress:

The back:

I used a free tutorial I found on Burdastyle.com for a contour bust dress by miasu.
Link: http://www.burdastyle.com/patterns/contour-bust-dress-and-tute
I made the skirt part using a pattern I bought a long time ago for a dress I've made a few times already, which includes pockets! The best part of any skirt or dress.

The dress is fully lined, with a bit of boning in the front. The straps are just bias tape, as is the trim around the top and bottom.

C&C welcome and appreciated!!
Thanks for looking!

Thank you! I'd been wanting to make something with this fabric for a while.  It reminds me a lot of Minnie Mouse. I've got some left over, i'm going to make a skirt if I can, to wear to disneyland.

Very cute! The fabric is beautiful, which reminds me that I still have some polka dot fabric lying around that needs to become something  Grin .. I really like the bustline of the dress. I will have to try to make one too Wink

That is a sweet dress - loving the dress and the fabric.
I think that the skirt you make will look fabulous too.

Haha Thank you! I actually found out that it was a mental hospital in high school and it's what made me want to go there, and now a few years later I finally get to transfer! My friend has been going there for two years and has plenty of creepy stories to tell. It's cool cause parts of the school haven't been updated, so they're still how they were when it was a mental hospital and you can kind of explore.
