I received both my fabric packages today!!!!

From Linnybelle. I adore the batiks!

And from astormorray. The third one in on the top is my favorite and hubby has already claimed the veggies one for something.

Thank you to both of you!!

squire_inaria - from looking at your wist, I thought you'd like the peacock-ish colors - of blue, purple, and green, but I had to throw in some oddities, too!

... for some reason, I bought 2 yards of that vegetable fabric; I have no idea what to do with it!

Hubby wants grill accessories out of it, so maybe you could do something like that, astor.

okay, here they are!

from linnybelle:

i had to spread out the batik so you could see the pretty flower pattern and the nifty color transition! (can you guess which is my favorite? Wink ) i'm also diggin the paisleys a lot! and that lil blue one right behind the paisley? if you look close, you'll see those are lil aprons! how cute is that? thanks linny, i love them!

and from astormorray:
check out this awesomeness! astor obviously stalked me cause she got my tastes down! loving the skeleton prints and the faces fabric is totally awesome, i gotta figure out something to do with that! and that one squeezed in between the two skeletons prints is covered with tiny prancing gold-on-gold zebras! so cute! love the black and the veggies and the numbers/shapes print.... and funnily enough, i recently got a big box of vintage fabrics and there's one in it very similar to the cowboys.... gonna have to find some project where i can put them together! thanks astor, they're totally me, and i love them!  Grin

I received both my packages of fabric in the last two days and am excited to post pictures finally.

First up, from Deece:

They're all so pretty it was hard to choose a favorite, but this sewing one really touched me.  I'm going to use it for a memorial art quilt for my grandma who taught me how to quilt in the first place.

Here's a closeup:

Here's the package from amalgam:

They were all so bright and colorful.  I really like the red/white/grey fabric and think it will become a clasp purse just for me.  Had I been more productive, the pink fabrics would have been made into a new purse for my brother's wedding.  They match my dress perfectly.  Smiley

Thanks for a wonderful swap, everyone!  This was so much fun.  Smiley

Looking for postcards from anywhere to use for RSVP cards for my 8/2012 wedding.  Have 80/200.

The art quilt is such a wonderful idea. Very touching.

I'm a big fan of the red/white/grey too. Where did you find it, amalgam?
