everyone should try it. Its so awesome! go camping for the week in the high desert, swim in hot springs, fish in lakes in the tops of desert mountains, and pay a tiny bit of money to tear through an opal mine with a bucket, shovel, and water. Lots of beauties fire opal and black fire opal. Ughhh I love my jars full!

Here is the mine I went to. You could always rent an rv! those are like homes! Its Sooo worth it. Opal is expensive. And its so awesome to work for it and keep every last stone and piece of opalized wood!

Oooh, goodie, more interest! Hiya FinRaziel, coconutbells, & rainbowsewist!

coconutbells, you are speaking my language... the camping, swimming and digging sound awesome! Sadly, Nevada is pretty far and I am poor. But I can dream...  Smiley

So, what sorts of time frame would be good for everyone? I could start right away or I could wait; either works for me. What do your schedules look like?

coconutbells, that sounds like one of the best vacations I could think up. So cool!

I'm not sure if I would be able to participate because I'm going on a trip from July 8-25... Maybe round 2!
My family has always made fun of me for picking up rocks because they looked cool. Psh. What do they know?

July 1 or any time after that would work for me. Right now I'm recovering from carpal tunnel surgery and don't need to be picking up anything heavy, LOL!

.... like your swap package..LOL!

How about I start sign-ups on July 8th and let them run through the 18th, with sendouts either August 2nd or 9th? I don't want this to be a stressful swap, so I want us to have plenty of time to craft and hunt for rocks.  Smiley

That sounds good, and I think August 9 would be good for sendouts, giving us about three weeks for searchig and crafting.
