Are you a rock fanatic? Do you come home from, well, everywhere with a rock or two in your pocket? Do you have to cut short hikes and creekwalks because you can't carry anymore? Will no one help you move anymore because you have "too many effing rocks"? Or has someone ever helped you move (just once, the sucker) and asked "What is this, a box of rocks?" and you had to grin because of course it was?

Well, my friends, I have a solution for you: GET MORE ROCKS! (Oh please, did you think I would tell you to get rid of them?) (Hmmm... on second thought, you should send them to me! Cheesy) Clearly the most sensible course of action is to swap rocks and rock crafts with your fellow Craftster rockhounds.

It looks like there was discussion of a rock swap back in 2009, but it doesn't seem to have happened. I'd be willing to organize if there was interest. So, who wants to play with rocks?

I came home from work one day a few years ago and found that UPS had delivered a box from my youngest brother.  I hadn't heard from him in ages, no card or note with the box, just a box of...rocks!  Wonderful rocks - all sorts, some fossils, some bones.  My boys were about 5 & 7 at the time and thought it was just about the best package they'd ever received!! (Me too, if truth be told)  Cheesy

I'll wait to hear about this one  Smiley

Ooooh, muddy- that is awesome! Nothing says love like a box of rocks- lol!

*grin* jexxican... you must have rocks in your head too! I never really understood how that was an insult. Smiley

I had thought to do a fairly simple swap, maybe crafting one medium or large item and one small item, and then including a rock for your partner.

I'd love to receive a rock that was typical for the area my partner lives in. I know around here we have a lot of fossilized coral that is mostly light brown on the outside, but if you crack it open you can see the coral's structure in crystalline detail- it's gorgeous! We also have a lot of lovely sandstone that sometimes has tiny fossil imprints of seashells, and even the gravel here often has tiny quartz-crystal cavities.

OH yes, please! I promised myself I wouldn't be swapping for a while, but for this I would break the promise.

It was our first really hot day of the season today.  Took my #2 son for a walk on the beach and we found lots and lots of lovely beach pebbles.  Came home with our pockets full.  Now just have to wait for the swap!!  Cheesy

Yay, zcrafter! I tell myself I'm going to stop swapping all the time, and do it anyway- it's so fun!

I'm hoping we have a few more people show interest!
