Ok I received from my AWESOME swap angel jezebel_1982, and boy oh boy did she spoil me.  Lots of goodies in my box - get those wisting and pinning fingers ready! (This post is going to be pretty image heavy)

I have to start out saying that I am so freaking jealous of Canadian dollar stores, clearly they are amazing!

Here's all the loot all together:

First is a play sewing kit for my toddler Malachi (Chi for short) - he always wants to "help" when I sew or embroider or bead jewelry, so now he can have his own 'projects' to work on:

Here is a closeup of the top (love those awesome car stickers!):

And inside - it was like Mary Poppins's bag - with all the yarn, fabric, trim, a beading game, and large mesh on a hoop for sewing, stickers, & buttons:

She made an adorable pillowcase dress for my daughter.  I love that it ties on, so it will fit her for a long time - even with leggings in a year or so:

And an action shot (this was the best shot I got of her in it, she is so fast most of the shots were just a blur of pink!):

This ruffly scarf is light weight for summer - and it has a metallic thread running throughout:

Check out these awesome goddess-style sandals!  They are a bunch of ways to tie them (they are the infinity dress of sandals) and they are SO comfy! (please ignore my lily-white legs and need for a pedicure)

An awesome art canvas and sunburst mirror (I might have a little bit of an addiction to sunburst mirrors):

This cute cup a saucer functions as a pin holder (there are super strong magnets glued on the inside):

She even included this awesome accordion folder - great for organizing crafty projects.

I was SO spoiled!  I love everything and it was well worth the wait.  Thanks SO MUCH jezebel_1982 for being my swap angel and for just being so awesome in general.

YAY! so happy it all made it to you! And in one piece...I'm always nervous shipping fragile items, especially cross-border.

The dress looks cute on your daughter Smiley

All in all, I'm glad you like everything! It was a ton of fun to make, even though I had to keep myself from going way overboard. I had about 8 more crafts that I could have attempted, but decided that I had to stop SOMEWHERE or I'd never get your package out in time Tongue

Love the tea cup pin holder!  What a lovely bunch of stuff your angel sent!

That scarf is beautiful...is it from a tutorial or do you have a link to it?  It would make great gifts!

Had to comment on this awesome swap package!

the scarf is loosely based off of this one: http://dollarstorecrafts.com/2011/02/make-an-anthropologie-inspired-ruffled-scarf/ (which has a tut & is from her wists) The original Catch & Release scarf (Anthropologie) is no longer available, but was made with lighter-weight fabrics than the dollar store crafts one (http://reviews.anthropologie.com/5310/944592/catch-and-release-scarf-reviews/reviews.htm)

For the scarf I made, it was 3 large square scarves folded in half, then sewn together. I turned them all right side out, and centered the seam on the bottom. Then I pinned each scarf together in a long tube of scarf-ness. Ruffle like crazy up the middle, then another row on either side.

There is a tut for the sandals, too: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=386299
