What are you knitting this summer?

Howdy Craftsters!

I am in the process of moving, and at my in between place, I made sure to have my knitting things with me so I wouldn't go totally batty without craft.

Thing is, I have no idea what to make! I am thinking something lacy, but can't think of exactly what.

So my question for you is: What are you making this summer? (or what have been your favorite summer knits)

My neice is heading off to college this fall and she's going to need warm clothes so I will be working on some nice wool blend sweaters. That is once I finish my own sweater and felted bag.  That shouldn't be too far off.

just thinking about that makes me feel waaay too toasty! I don't believe I will be doing anything with wool for a while... not till it cools down, or is less humid, or something.

I'm knitting this: http://blog.rosahoban.co.uk/2009/07/happy-summer-vest.html in green with some white stripes and a row of hearts with a few cthulus thrown in for good measure.  I'll hopefully post pics someday, it's much cooler than it sounds

I'm working on the Le Gran Stole, but I've altered the pattern a little bit by making it wider. My aunt found a stash of Bernat Sweety yarn that she bought in 1987. She never made the sweater that she planned on using it for and, lucky me, I ended up with all the yarn. The Sweety yarn seemed a bit similar to the yarn used in this pattern, so I decided to try it out, and it's almost the same color, too, which I love!

I have to finish a cowl, make some bears for my dad's wedding, finish knitting a moose for my sister, start a blanket for my cousin who is getting married, work on a sweater, and toss in a few socks and dish cloths

I'm knitting Ginge Marmalade from Donna Wilson's The Knitted Odd-bod Bunch, (or trying to), a baby blanket for my first baby who is due in mid-August, and a big seed stitch bag to carry all my and my baby's stuff in once the weather gets cold.
