Howdy Craftsters!

I am in the process of moving, and at my in between place, I made sure to have my knitting things with me so I wouldn't go totally batty without craft. Grin

Thing is, I have no idea what to make! I am thinking something lacy, but can't think of exactly what.

So my question for you is: What are you making this summer? (or what have been your favorite summer knits)  Cheesy

My neice is heading off to college this fall and she's going to need warm clothes so I will be working on some nice wool blend sweaters. That is once I finish my own sweater and felted bag.  That shouldn't be too far off.

just thinking about that makes me feel waaay too toasty! I don't believe I will be doing anything with wool for a while... not till it cools down, or is less humid, or something.

I'm knitting this: http://blog.rosahoban.co.uk/2009/07/happy-summer-vest.html in green with some white stripes and a row of hearts with a few cthulus thrown in for good measure.  I'll hopefully post pics someday, it's much cooler than it sounds Cheesy

I'm working on the Le Gran Stole, but I've altered the pattern a little bit by making it wider. My aunt found a stash of Bernat Sweety yarn that she bought in 1987. She never made the sweater that she planned on using it for and, lucky me, I ended up with all the yarn. The Sweety yarn seemed a bit similar to the yarn used in this pattern, so I decided to try it out, and it's almost the same color, too, which I love!

I have to finish a cowl, make some bears for my dad's wedding, finish knitting a moose for my sister, start a blanket for my cousin who is getting married, work on a sweater, and toss in a few socks and dish cloths Smiley

I'm knitting Ginge Marmalade from Donna Wilson's The Knitted Odd-bod Bunch, (or trying to), a baby blanket for my first baby who is due in mid-August, and a big seed stitch bag to carry all my and my baby's stuff in once the weather gets cold.

Here are some Ginge Marmalades on Ravelry:

I'm using acrylic yarn in Carrot and Gold, by Red Heart.

I already knit a cowl while on vacation (I was staying in a cabin in the woods, it felt wrong not to knit, lol).

I'm probably more than halfway done with a sweater for one of the dogs (she'll need it in the winter, so I can take my time a little, first piece of clothing, so I'm being careful I get the sizing right).

I also have a simple winter scarf going that I knit at night before bed when I'm not ready to sleep, but don't want to mess up something that's more complicated.

And I'm about halfway done with a lightweight kind of lace scarf. I'm having fun with this pattern.

And I'm already planning some of my projects for fall and winter, lol. But I need to get these done first,  Cheesy

Ooh the kitty is cute, and that stole looks oh so soft <3

I'm also knitting for the cold months ahead! I've just started a Staggered rib scarf in a super soft chunky purple yarn.

In a couple weeks though, the kit for my All That Glitters shawl will arrive! Can't wait to get started on my very first shawl Cheesy

Oh, that will be pretty shawl! I'm also going to be knitting my first shawl for this winter! I can't wait to start! Smiley

I'm also going to start knitting a patchwork throw.

And a cute, baggy hooded cape.

I want to start them all right now! haha!! I have the yarn for my shawl and the blanket, it's hard to keep myself from starting yet another project, but I really want to finish the dog sweater and my lace scarf first.

Thanks! I certainly am using those colours! They're what first drew my eye to the shawl. Also, I've never knitted anything that light and lacy before so I'd like to try something new.
