Wow she is just amazing, I wont let my daughter see her cause I know she will want one. So cute. Mel did you make the body regular and put inside the tail and handstitch together? She is great and I want on too. What a fantastic way to start off the gallery for sure.

Yep. AlwaysInspired told me that's how she did her mermaid poppet. It works really well and you can use any type of fabric for the tail. I originally had a shimmery fabric for the tail, but it ran (like nylons do).

As for eyelashes, I got those ones right after Halloween. Our dollar store used to carry them, but they didn't have them the last time I went.

I know what you mean. I love getting poppet fabric, I have the same problem. I had a heck of a time putting lashes on mine and the only thing done is her entire head sans hair. and no ears. Hm... not much done. I'm sure she will have strong opinions when it comes to hair and dress..

I had this awesomely stellar poppet in mind for WhiteSheep. I had her almost all the way stuffed and then she decided she doesn't want to cooperate. She's lumpy and her eyes are crooked and she's got puckers in the torso and head and her hands refused to turn. Meh. -.-UUUUUU  I got fed up with her. So to sooth myself I made another poppet from a different fabric. Now this one is like "well, you can send me if you want. And oh by the way, I'm a little bit steam punk/ a little bit mecha........" O____O
But yay! I got a spare poppet body that I can keep for myself. Or maybe give to my sister. She likes amethyst colors ^^ I'm beginning to see the wisdom in having spare poppet bodies at the ready *nods appreciatively*

Isi, it's a wonderful thing, a spare. I started with one color body before we even got partners and switched gears when I decided what the goal was gonna be. I'm almost done stuffing both, but I'll leave the head of the spare alone until it asks for eyes and a personality. (I always put the eyes in before I stuff the head.) Wink

On pua's poppet I remade the tail once, the body once, and the arms I didn't get right until 5 and 6. Shrugs. Only the head didn't need to be remade (though I did have to rip out seams to fix an ear).
