I've been on a poppet kick since the beginning of the Plethora swap and have decided not to fight and just go with the flow. These are both gifts for friends of mine.

First up is the beautiful Allegra. She reminds me a bit of a princess with the colors she wears.

The skirt is a simple circle of cream panne velvet. She also has a sleeveless chemise and armlets of the same velvet. Her corset is one of my all time favorite batiks. It's a rainbow of colors (I just used the orange, pink and mauve section for this) with gold veins running through it.

Her hair is a Red Heart variegated. I think it's called watercolors, but I could be wrong. I interspersed it with some variegated fun fur that Puamelia sent me during the Plethora swap. I completely adore the texture and look it gives her.

Next up is Lyssandra. She was made for a friend that breeds ball pythons.

I came across the fabric for her dress in the bottom of my fabric bin when I was cleaning it out and it just begged to be made into a poppet for her.

And a profile shot

C&C welcome!

I love the way you interspersed the textured yarn into Allegra's hair.  I think it makes it far more interesting and Lyssandra's skin color works so well with the snakey dress you created for her.  Well done.

I just love that you can see the two different personalities, and love how their names are so appropriate! Allegra's hair was wonderful already but the fun yarn really adds an extra oomph. Lyssandra just sounds so snakey, and love how her skin goes well with the dress and hair. Excellent work as always! Wonderful work!

Yay for summer!
