OMG so cute!  I absolutely need to make a bunch of these for christmas.  One for my husband, and one each for his brothers.  It is AWESOME!  I've never stuck pipe cleaners in my stuffies.  Such a new and interesting idea!  Thanks for sharing!

Go for it Jillybeans! I didn't find it difficult at all, especially since I've made sock creatures before and this one follows the basic body shape. Just make sure you back the safety eyes with a piece of stable fabric so they don't pull out of that stretch sock fabric! If you're using buttons for eyes (which I think adds to the ooky creepiness actually) you can just sew them on. And make sure to fold over and twist up the pointy ends of the pipe cleaners so they don't poke through and stab somebody. Doubling them makes them stronger too.

Thank you, high praise indeed coming from the original creator! I considered dying sock monkey socks like you did but just could not be troubled to run around town finding dye and then making my hands green with it, lol.

you're quite welcome!

i don't think dyeing one's hands would be a requisite when dyeing the socks... i just always find a way to dye my hands funny colors. the important lesson i learned is to not wear the plastic gloves that come with the dye. i had a whole box of latex gloves... somewhere. just couldn't find them when i needed them. Cheesy

There is a picture of them feeding it raw bacon, apparently it's too young for "soul" food yet, Cheesy.
