dropoffradar you have to have a motorcycle license to ride them in most places...

It really depends on the engine size, but if you're going to actually get anywhere on it, chances are the engine is big enough to require a license!

In Canada it's a graduated license- 3 stages with different priviledges at each stage. Takes a little over a year to get your full license if you take training (which knocks off time) I dont know what it is anywhere else? Maybe the same there too!!

has anyone tried to make saddle bags for there scooties?  i know someone did...but i am wondering how to make them if the seat flips up and has storage underneath...i would like to be able to use the storage too...any ideas?

what if you had two saddle bags that were connected by a strip... You could flip up the seat, and looking at it you'd see material in a strip partially covering the storage under the seat, with bags on both sids of the scooter.  It would stay on if the seat was down.  To get to the storage, you could just slide it a little bit to access things or take it off... No, that's not very practical.  Wait, suppose that fabric had a zipper in it!  That strip connecting the two bags would be under the seat, over the storage.  Then you could lift up the seat, and un zip the zipper, which would make an opening!

Okay, maybe that's not the best idea.

in oregon for anything under 50cc's you just need a regular liscense...mine is 50 cc's so technically i think i am supposed to have a motorcycle endorsement...but they wont let you take the test on a scooter...and i have no access to a motorcycle...so, i am a criminal!  i havent been bothered about it and i have even gone to the dmv several times and they are NOT so helpful in this regard!

Taloola - The Honda Metropolitan is 49cc, not 50cc...you really DON'T need a motorcycle to ride it.  You're not actually a badass criminal Wink
